season 1 episode 2

episode 2 “pokemon emergency”
the episode starts with a police officer officer jenny speaking warning about pokemon theifs in the area she than sees ash with pikachu still injured she asks about id thinking he stole it after checking for id which ashes pokedex classifies as they than head to the pokemon center meanwhile the girl from the previous episode appears with her broken bike. We are also introduced to the theives who want revenge on the city for putting them on a wanted poster among other things. When they get to the center after a brief chat pikachu is taken to the emergency room to be treated by nurse joy ash then rings his mom and proffessor oak about the rainbow pokemon among other things. The girl shows up who we discover later on is Misty who is angry for the bike ash promises to fix it eventually when they see Pikachu is better they are happy but then the theives attack introducing themselves as Jessie and James of team rocket with a Meowth (which can talk) they attack using poision pokemon Koffing and Ekans the battle is a clear mismatch as pikachu can’t battle and none of the pokemon in the center are helpful but eventually the pikachu guarding the power supply attack weakening them with ashes help pikachu defeats team rocket and destroys the pokemon center in the process team rocket the thieves discuss going after Pikachu. Ash Misty and Pikachu head into the viridian forest and find a caterpie a bug type and the ep ends with ash trying to catch it.
