Ash misty and brock arrive in cereulan city where misty doesn’t want to go but ash and brock ignore her meanwhile team rocket steal a giant hose ash and brock arrive there the next morning and run into officer Jenny after some confusion they seperate and ash heads to the gym and runs into a bizarre water ballet he meets the people who preform and they say they are the gym leaders but can’t battle due to all their pokemon except golden however misty shows up and reveals she’s there sister and battles ash Pikachu doesn’t want to battle so ash uses butterfree against staryu it’s close but staryu wins the next match is pidgeotto vs starmie (a water type evolved form of staryu) the battle doesn’t end when team rocket show up and try to steal the water types but Pikachu stops them ash gets the gym badge anyway and they leave with Misty and brock for vermilllion City
