It than St Kilda amazingly kicked clear to win by 26 points in a big celebration for Lowe’s 300th but face a greater challenge next week with hawthorn while Sydney host Brisbane.

After a terrible start the freemantle has everyone thinking they might win one a great start got them out to a 16 point lead at 1/4 time. A slight extension in the second had it at 17 points at 1/2 time. Melbourne closed in with a 5 goal to 2 third quarter cutting it to 4 points at 3/4 time and than preidctably freemantle fell apart conceding 8 unanswered last quarter goals to win by 45 points. Melbourne finally starting to play like last season play bulldogs while freemantle still lacking a win travel to adeilade.
