the first clue sends them to sao paulo brazil on american, continental or united flights the trick is the departure order of flights mean nothing american would have been best if not delayed first to leave first to arrive and lake/michelle break the rules by ringing ahead to book tickets which is not allowed but end up on the worse flight the continental flight anyway. The first clue in brazil is at the hotel unique which sends them to a hard to find bridge despite being on a good flight john/scott and lisa/joni fall way behind because of bad cab drivers the detour is more bad news for john/scott it is a helicopter ride to one of three hotels or building a motorcycle few teams do the motorcycle correctly and the helicopter ride is a bit of a race to the three hotels are different distances. after lighting a candle they race to a soccer field the pit stop where john/scott face their fears for nothing as they are eliminated.
