the 8 teams depart munich for parlemo italy its tricky booking flights bj/tyler and eric/jeremy get the first flight to rome to connect but when lake/michelle miss it and get a later arrival in parlemo than was aviable putting them with the trailing teams ray/yolanda and danielle/dani bj/tyler are the only ones on the earliest flight in. The next clue sends them to castermello del golfo. for the detour of finding laundry or lifting up a heavy bell and delivering it to a church the laundry is slightly quicker the next clue sends them to segesta where a few teams get lost finding the yield mat at the colloseum lake/michelle even find the pit stop as joseph/monica are arriving 3rd. Lake/michelle thinking its them or danielle/dani yield them even though ray/yolanda got lost and are way behind them it sets up a roadblock of making a greek statue (wrong country to do that) the trick is there are two unneccsary pieces. The hippies win the leg and danielle/dani narrowly are eliminated.
