ash misty and brock arrive in grandpa canyon where the great fossil rush is going on as gary explains. ash finds that team rocket are trying to blow up the canyon ash tries to stop them but when pikachu attacks the fuse it sends ash and team rocket underground where there are sleeping kabuto kabotops omanayte and omastar which scares them chamelon and pikachu as well as team rockets pokemon can’t damage them when the exticnt pokemon (well they are believed to be extinct) run away they see an aeroductyl which kidnaps ash and takes into the air when chalmelon and pikachu hold on and than let go chamelon now out of the cave evolves into charizard combined with jigglypuffs singing they are able to rescuce ash it is unlear how team rocket will escape the cave and ash finds a pokemon egg which brock takes and looks after for now.
next time an apple causes a doctor to fix pikachu.
