the five remaining teams depart the fortress of rion for muscat oman they first take a bus to the athens airport and than catch one of two flights to the middle eastern nation of oman and race to a giant incense burner which evens the teams due to being closed for the night. The next morning they race to the town of sur ray and yolanda get lost and fall behind and teams have to drive accross rivers with no bridge. the detour is delivering a camal or searching watch towers the later is slightlier easier the next clue sends them to a village and the sand dunes for the roadblock digging up their dinner in the heat the hippies fall from 1st to last during that challenge the drive to the pit stop costs eric and jeremy there run of top 2 finishes when they take a dirt road. Fran and barry supprisingly win the leg as they are the oldest team in a mostly physical leg bj and tyler (the hippies) lose all their possesions except the clothes on their back and their passports for being last in a non-elimination leg.
