“riddle me this”
ash misty and brock are on a boat for cinibar island when they run into gary who says that no one goes to cinibar island for the gym anymore. When ash gets there it is full of tourists and there is no accomdation they run into a weird guy who speaks in riddles and gives ash misty and brock his card. Turns out he runs an inn without any customers at this point misty is the only one who figures out the riddles. When the pokemon lab is attacked by team rocket ash stops them. The man than gives a hint about the real gym and it turns out the riddle guy is the gym leader named blaine who agrees to a 3 on 3 battle however ash loses the first two rounds when squirtle lose to nintales despite a type advantage and charizard still won’t listen to ash so rhydon beats it but pikachu somehow overcames a type disadvantage to beat rhydon but when blaine uses his main pokemon megmar pikachu gets smashed and is about to fall into the volcano when the episode ends.
next time will pikachu survive can charizard listen to ash.
