“misty meets her match”
our heroes arrive on trovita where they rescue a little girl who was about to drown. Her brother is revealed to be the gym leader who clearly has a crush on misty ash is somhow slightly thrown off and in the first half of the gym battle barely pases earning him the right to challenge the gym leader (rudy) for the badge. Meanwhile rudy tries to convince misty to go with him. Ash wins the battle which is a match between pokemon of the same type so he gets his third badge. Misty keeps going with ash and tracy.
next itme pikachu and meowth are tied together.
