ash’s mum is told that ash is missing and wonders what happened. Meanwhile the girl who found pikachu realises that pikachus trainer is famous but knows she can’t figure out what happened to its trainer she goes to find professor elm to get her starter who is visiting the area. Ash asks his sister where his mother lugia is she says that it is in hiding but will take him to see her. Team rocket though have survived when they are found by giovanni’s sectuary who explains that they are neeeded for a project involving the lugia. Meanwhile the girl meets professor elm and explains what happened elm realises that pikachu has already become friends with her and asks her what johto starter she wants she thinks about it when her mum comes.
