ptofessor elm offers the girl a deal that if she gives up the info about how she found ashs pikachu and reveal her link to team rocket xhe would not go to jail but she explained that she saved pikachu from team rocket and did not know about anything before that to do with ash. She says her name is zuli and always wanted to be a trainer and asks if she can get her starter and elm says only if she beats him in a battle using pikachu she suprises elm by asking pikachu if he wanted to battle for her and he said yes. Meanwhile ash was flying with his lugia sister towards their mum when they spot team rockets hideout and than change direction so they are not caught. Zuli beats elm in the battle so elm finally offers zuli a deal if she can find out what happened to ash and reunite him with his pikachu she can have all 3 starters. She agrees. Meanwhile doctor namba realises the lugia where close and reports to giovanni.
