the first clue isn’t in the bags they bought with them but they have to find a paper plane with queensland and northern territory airlines on it (QANTAS) the last team to do so is given a automatic u-turn at the first detour they encounter the first 8 teams get tickets on the first flight. some teams think its stuff like queensland pacific or queen express the clue sends them to sydney australia on one of two qantas flights amanda/kris get the u-turn penalty and end up on the 2nd flight with keisha/jen and gary/mallory. but the 1st flight diverts to hawaii due to a medical emergency (a heart attack not by a contestant). the clue sends them to manly by train and ferry jet/cord ron/christina and mel/mike end up even further behind due to misisng the train that the other teams on the diverted flight made and the cowboys even lose more time but missing the ferry that the teams they where level with make. the first roadblock of the race is swimming in a shark tank to grab a nautical flag compass and than use it to solve the nactical flags into a sentence as well as where they need to go the manly 16 foot swift sailing club. the sentence is not easy to figure out justin gives the answer to the globetrotters and not margie/luke and jamie/cara when asked (the later gets the answer from mel/mike and ron/christina who where working together). kynt/yvxsin get their answer from margie/luke after strggling with the swimming the cowboys get no help and even though they briefly get out of last place due to yvxsins swimming trouble they are now a long way back. the next clue is sailing a yacht on the harbour to grab a clue. the pit stop is shelly beech in sydney or so they think gary/mallory win the express pass only to be told to keep racing and it is not a real pit stop (first since season 14) sparing the cowboys from being eliminated.
