“gotta get the show on the road”
a young girl named may is on her way to little root town who admits she doesn’t like pokemon much but loves travel. meanwhile ash arrives in littleroot town and decides to head to professor birches lab to get pikachu healed but during the procedure pikachu runs away so ash and professor birch follow it and eventually may follows as well when she finds out whats going on. ash tries to get pikachu better while birch ends up in trouble with some poocheyna so may tries to use his mudkip to help but it won’t listen but it ends up ok. team rocket attack pikachu which fixes pikachu who defeats team rocket and destroys mays bike in the process. after pikachu is better may gets to pick her starter pokemon and goes with the fire type torchic. ash and may decide to travel together and leave for odale town.
