jeff explains that first impresssions of forming with brett saying shmabo will be a leader and she thinks she is a babe magnet. marisa says russell h looks as tough as nails russel h says he will make hell for everyone betsy says she doens’t believe anyone. the players arrive on the beach jeff says galu is purplle foafoa is yellow they than elect a leader for each tribe monica says its like a deer in headlights but its a death sentnece in this game mick says he has leadership qualities. jazmin votes for erik john votes for shambo kelly votes for russel s brett votes for russel s laura votes for russel s who votes for shambo as does monica but dave and erik vote for russel s i think shambo votes for erik but not sure. liz votes for mick ben does as well russel h votes for marisa mick votes for jaison, natalie votes for mick, jaison votes for liz, marisa votes for russel h, ashley votes for jaison, betsy votes for jaison, mike votes for mick making him leader. ben is shocked not to get a vote. the first task for the leaders is picking who to compete in the reward challenge the first stage is swimmiing they pick jaison (who is supprised but he has done waterpolo) russell s picks john (who he thinks is brazilian looking). for strongest mick picks russel h while russel s picks erik. for agile mick picks marrisa and russel s picks yazmin. mick picks liz for smarts (she thinks its because of being asian) and russell s picks shambo. (which supprises her and is not happy). the reward challenge has the swimmer grab a key who gives it to the strongest person who carrys logs to the mat for the agile person to cross up to a ballance beam and manuvare it the smart person uses the key to solve the puzzle the reward is flint. john starts ok but struggles with the swimming allowing jaison to get the lead for foafoa (which supprises mike because of his old fashioned views). john struggles early with the swimming that dave wants him gone already (john is exhausted). Russell H stretches the lead but erik does ok as russell H starts having trouble but than erik is down. marrisa does well on the rope maze part of the beam russell S is proud despite erik losing time. liz starts on the puzzle first but shambo almost catches her but liz wins reward for foa foa in a close race making the tribe happy with micks calls at least according to marrisa. russell s is not frustrated and dave says there underdogs. erik is also upset at john for his effort. foafoa arrive at camp and after the introductions ben takes the lead on setting up camp which doesn’t upset mick who wants to delegate a bit. russell h decides to form alliances with everyone starting with the girls (he calls them his dumb girl alliance which is misonagastic) but betsy doesn’t trust him which is a good idea as long as he doesn’t say it to him. russell h is doing it to make sure he wins. on galu russell s thinks he is vulnerable he takes charge which makes shambo happy but eventually the guys argue about how to build shelter which leads to some friction and also annoys shambo. john says don’t be too quick to spin the wheels saying that being over budget doesn’t mean anything because theres no budget and is already digging his grave. shambo thinks they should act before thinking some of the tribe go swimming which annoys shambo who doesn’t participate. russell h gives a false story about the hurricane katrina in new orleans and that he lost his dog for sympathy and this works but its all a lie (he never even lived in new orleans) it works on ashley. marrisa is starting to get succsipicious meanwhile russell h drops out all the water and burning jaisons socks as an attempt to make life miserable his goal is not to win the money but show how easy it is to win even saying he should be the first one to go. when the tribe finds out that the water is missing it leads to a fight between ben and marrisa. russell h is overconfident he is running the show. before the immunity challenge russell s makes comments that ben makes fun of so erik replies that he is ready to start the challenge. the challenge is going over aframes to lift a crate with rope and than the other 4 members solve the puzzle. the first leg has galu lead quickly with the girls slowing down the tribes so russell s hopes yazmin wihle foafoa work together galu lead the whole first leg with foafoa using a human pyramid to try and catch up. galu has a big lead to the crate pulling but foafoa close the gap slightly with russell h using his muscles to close the gap. it is kelly, laura, shambo and monica versus mike, liz, betsy and marisa on the puzzle. looking for the words are tricky but momentum swings and galu win immunity and their flint. there celebration doesn’t enderar them to the other tribe. foafoa head to camp disappointed in their loss but they know theres a long way to go ashleys worried and she has the right to be as mike says ashley is the weakest which mick agrees with and originally its the conceness until marrisa confronts russell about talking to people which is not a good strategy at all. russell than leads a vote against marisa and tells the tribe to vote her but betsy doesn’t want to and tries to get the vote back on ashley. russell h even says he is the puppet master. betsy tells natalie not to trust russell on womans intuition. at tribal ashley says its upsetting someone goes home russell replies to her saying its not a big deal by not giving an answer mike says they have to get serious mike says they where lucky with the puzzle. liz says they could have been more unified on the puzzle betsy calls ashley the weak link which upsets her as she thinks she is strong. marisa says there is different levels of weakness ben goes a bit far trying to get her to answer the question russell admits he doesn’t like marisa. marisa tries to defend herself by saying russell said honesty was important but russell says it was about trust and ben doesn’t agree. in the end the vote goes against marisa 7-3 (with betsy, marisa and mick? voting for ashley).
