8 teams leave indonesia for phuket thailand the lead teams just go straight to jarkata to change planes without booking all the way to phuket putting them behind as the trailing teams book it all in yoyarkata some teams can’t pronounce phuket. the trailing teams get tickets all the way with one stop in jarkata. while the teams who went to jarkata straight away have to also stop in bangkok. liz/marie have not exchanged their money the first stop is a marina which doesn’t open the dock till 8am evening the teams. before the clue they walk on a wobbly bridge type thing for the detour clue which is “coral reconstruction” is reconstructing a coral nursery and than set it up underwater ‘beach preparation” is setting up the beach a certain way which is the harder detour teams ride boats to their choice. the split is pretty even on which they choose justin is overexcited about being on a boat but most teams are excited. liz/marie are over confident which is never a good sign. the coral task is easier but some teams misread the sign. lawence/zac, liz/marie and ernie/cindy do the beech task all other teams do the coral. justin/jennifer argue during the task. liz/marie struggle physically at the task. the 2nd half of the coral task using a kayak isn’t too hard. andy/tommy are in the lead at the detour and the next clue is a compass to send them to a rock face. some teams have trouble with the kayak the water was very tough. while the beach task is very hard still` although the coral had marcus exhausted so they switcch detours as does jeremy/sandy. the wind makes the detour harder getting liz/marie emotional. the next clue is a roadblock of rock climbing andy takes the roadblock. while most teams are still doing the beach detour teams struggle to stay positive. andy stretches his teams lead at the roadblock and gets the pitstop clue a floating village and a soccer field the pitstop. jennifer takes the roadblock which is not normal for a female to do it in a co-ed pair they are in 2nd. ernie/cindy finish the beach task before the other teams with lawence/zac just behind than amani/marcus who help liz/marie with advise jeremy/sandy finish the task next. andy/tommy win 5000 dollars each for coming in 1st. justin/jennirfer aren’t too far behind in 2nd. ernie/cindy are a little lost finding the roadblock so lawence/zac get the clue next zac takes the roadblock. the wind is still hard at the detour bill/cathi beat liz/marie at the task. amani takes the roadblock ernie/cindy are still lost jeremy takes the roadblock. liz/marie finally realise their mistake at the detour and finish it after arguing. lawence/zac get the pit stop clue while ernie/cindy get the roadblock clue. amani finishes the roadblock but jeremy closes the gap a bit. ernie takes the roadblock as bill takes it for his team. lawence/zac get a bit lost finding the pitstop ernie finishes the roadblock. marie takes the roadblock i think. bill makes up time as well. amani/marcus jeremy/sandy and lawence/zac are close in a race to the pit stop for 3rd place. amani/marcus lose time finding the pitstop dropping from 3rd to 6th. liz and marie are last but its a non-elim leg but will face a speed bump next leg.
