the final 4 teams depart india for hiroshima japan on the same flight and than by boat to minsaina island. the best flight arrives 810pm the next day. vanessas injury is still bad. teams first take a bus to the city and brendon/rachel fall slightly behind as a result of mising the first bus and the usual people make fun of them in a bit o f a rude way. mising the bus leads to an issue between brendon/rachel. the next sotp is the train station and end up with brendon/rachel catching up slightly with a 10pm train carrying all the teams except rachel/dave who end up on the 1020pm train this nearly makes a key difference as they miss the last ferry of the night to the island but the first ferry in the morning still makes the clue opening hours despite leaving 8 hours behind so there is no advantage in fact the clue won’t be till the morning sunrise. that morning the clue asks them to pay their respects to the victims of world war 2s attack on the area at the memorial park before taking the train to osaka and a tv studio on the same train at the tv 8 studio. rachel/dave and brendon/rachel take the subway while the other teams take a taxi. it is confusing to find art/jj are in the lead with a japanese game show roadblock of having to run on a moving sidewalk and jump and grab 3 chickens and than jump in a crazy way. Art takes the roadblock and fails the first attempt only getting 1 chicken and falls off many times the course while getting the 2nd but gets the third before any team shows up but can’t do the jump. vanessa/ralph are having trouble with cabs. teams are pretty lost at this point. art gets it still way ahead sending them to the umeda sky building and where the detour clue is. vanessa has to do the roadblock despite her injury due to having to go into the final leg even brendon has to do it for the same reason. rachel (of rachel/dave takes the roadblock). vanessa’s injury doesn’t help her with the task with brendon gets 2 chickens quickly but no one is doing well at the task rachel gets 1 before vanessa but brendon gets 3 quickly rachel gets 2 before vanessa has any. brendon/rachel get the clue 2nd but rachel/dave aren’t far behind with vanessa/ralph a long way back even though vanessa has 1. vanessa’s injury makes ralph consider taking the penalty but she won’t give up and gets the 2nd chicken despite the pain and gets it but still hasn’t jumped. meanwhile the other teams find the clue at the observatory which is the detour of “bingo shout out” pick up sushi and put it on a bingo card and once they have them in order they must eat it all to receive their clue. “photo cut out” requires getting locals to pose for a photo after 10 they get a clue. art/jj take the sushi. rachel/dave are a little lost as are brendon/rachel don’t realise its one floor down. vanessa is still in pain but narrowly fails but than gets it. rachel/dave take the photo task. brendon/rachel do the sushi although rachel/daves bag is left open causing problems leading to a big fight. vanessa/ralph catch up as teams struggle to get cabs vanessa/ralph take the sushi. it is noisy the sushi resturant which makes it hard its confusing some of the words at the task. rachel/dave do the photos but its not easy to get people into it. art/jj are well ahead on the sushi compared to brendon/rachel who just starting while vanessa/ralph are lost. rachel/dave are getting the photo done quicker. rachel/dave finish the detour in 1st sending them to the pitstop osaka castle with a good lead. art/jj finish the detour in 2nd place. rachel is getting stressed at the sushi allowing vanessa/ralph to catch up. rachel/dave win their record equaling 7th first place (only the third team to do it in a season only one more team has done it since) there prize is a trip to new zelland. art/jj are a little more confused at the castle. brendon/rachel finish the detour in 3rd ahead of vanessa/ralph. art/jj are a little lost at the castle finding the pitstop. vanessa/ralph finish the detour before anyone else gets to the pitstop causing a closer race for last. the other two teams are close to each other a bit lost as vanessa/ralph arrive at the castle but its too late for vanessa/ralph who are eliminated.

the final 3 depart osaka for honolulu hawaii and the twin towers building in hawaii. on the same non-stop hawaian flight rachel/dave think they can break the record for first place finishes. art/jj are a bit confused with the clue brendon/rachel don’t have the adress. rachel/dave have a good cab though and the only ones who figure out. brendon/rachels cab figure it out. art/jj try and follow rachel/dave but lose them at a critical moment. the next clue sends them to climb to the top of the tower and than look for their destination and than repeal down before going there. brendon/rachel are just behind rachel/dave. art/jj are lost completly at this point and get wrong more information. dave sees the banner so they are in the lead as they start going down in the lead. art/jj find the wrong place which hurts them time wise but they find the clue as rachel/dave finish the repel in the lead with brendon/rachel in the middle of the pack. the first roadblock is shave ice dave takes the roadblock. brendon takes the roadblock. it isn’t easy to shave ice despite the timing not too bad. the rachels are worried that art/jj are catching up. rachel/dave get the clue in 1st to take a helicopter to a destination. rachel/dave enjoy the helicopter ride and think there in a good position. the other teams are closing in with brendon/rachel wasting time taking a cab when they don’t need to and not supposed to. art/jj pass brendon/rachel at this point. brendon/rachel go to the wrong place when they shouldn’t have taken a cab which costs them more time. rachel/dave get the clue which asks teams to become lifeguards and save a swimmer from the water they will get a clue rachel thinks she can do the wave runner. brendon/rachel try and make up time but are not getting along at all at this point but get in the helicopter as rachel/dave get a clue to the coral kingdom gate. art/jj start the rescue task. rachel/dave are having cab problems. art/jj get the clue before brendon/rachel start the task. rachel/dave accidently find instructions for the finish line while art/jj find the acctual clue. rachel/dave find info about paddle boarding to the finish line which is a step too far. art/jj get anoter roadblock clue which is surfing down on a sled and than land a lava rock in a goal. art/jj are supprised to be in 1st going into the roadblock and don’t realise it yet as art tries to do it. rachel/dave are closing in on the finish line early. jj thinks its a far gone conclusion that rachel/dave have won at this point even though they haven’t actually turned up yet at that task but are at the finish line and have to go back and do it. rachel/dave realise their mistake and have to make up time and are half a mile off course. brendon/rachel finish the rescue task but are still quite behind. rachel has to do the roadblock which shocks jj. but art is shocked at whats happening. art is still having trouble with the sled while brendon/rachel are closing in on the roadblock. rachel of rachel/dave takes the lead going into the ball throwing as jj realises they threw away a million dollars. art has failed 16 times at least. rachel/dave still don’t get along despite being in the lead but still finish 1st. rachel/dave get the finish line clue secret island which is where they already have been and are heading for the record. brendon/rachel arrive at the roadblock as rachel attempts it. rachel/dave win the million dollars and a record 8th first place finish in a season. rachel of brendon/rachel acctually pass art/jj breifly on the sleds but the stones are tricky in a showdown for 2nd is not easy art/jj finish 2nd and brendon/rachel 3rd.
