9 teams stay in indonesia leaving surabaya for antika java padang resturant and the clue indicates a u-turn ahead. the lead teams are a bit lost finding taxis so they work together. no one is having any luck with taxis but find some eventually. josh/brent think there are the alpha teams and the other teams who will win if they do their best. its a little easier getting cabs now. the clue at the resturant is a roadblock of serving 20 plates of food all at once ballancing them if they drop any they must try again. lexi takes the roadblock in the lead. natalie/nadiya are a bit lost. brent, jaymes and ryan take the roadblock. caitlin/britany are worried about the emotions coming out. lexi drops some the first time. jaymes appartently had his first job at a pancake house. ryan and jaymes do a lot better early brent fails though. jaymes/james and abbie/ryan get the clue quickly sending them to a train station to take a train to bangil. james/abba also pass natalie/nadiya while lexi finishes. as does james/abba and josh/brent putting natalie/nadiya dropping 1st to 6th quickly. the next train to bangil is 736am and the lead 5 teams make it as the all-girl teams struggle natalie is doing the task. gary/will are only just leaving the previous pitstop but are worried about being at the back of the pack. natalie/nadiya finish still in 6th as rob takes teh roadblock. brittany finishes 7th and rob finishes before gary/will even get there. at the train station the lead 5 teams board the train but natalie/nadiya just miss it the next train isn’t for a while putting them over 3 hours behind as its not till 1055am. so the lead teams decide not to u-turn each other at this point as they are at the front of the pack but some are worried that james/abba will u-turn someone. the clue on the train is the detour “egg head” requires teams to have their head lit on fire to cook some eggs which is disgusting and dangerous. “lions head” requires teams to join a japanese procession in a costume and parade while stopping to preform some steps. most teams choose lions head except josh/brent at the front of the pack. the lead teams get to bangil and get into rickshaws. the carnival is quite interesting where they do the detour. the lions head where quite heavy but teams don’t struggle much. the procession isn’t impossible while josh/brent start the egg task. abbie/ryan are 1st to finish the detour sending them to a confusing street where the u-turn is. jaymes/james are 2nd trey/lexi are 3rd and james/abba 4th all close. the teams finally board the 2nd train and are worried about being at the back of the pack. no one at the front of the pack use the u-turn its a blind u-turn so its annyomous the pitstop is a high school in bungil. where abbie/ryan finish 1st at the pitstop in a close race ahead of trey/lei winning a trip to fiji isles. a footrace for 3rd sees jaymes/james get it. josh/brent don’t u-turn and finish 5th before the 2nd train arrives. the 2nd train teams choose lions head mostly as gary/will fall behind due to being at the back of the train. money issues hurt the trailing teams. natalie/nadiya are 6th to finish the detour ahead of rob/kelly but not by much. natalie/nadiya don’t u-turn but rob/kelly u-trun gary/will (which is a failsafe if they fall any further behind). caitlin/brittany get the clue to the u-turn ahead of gary/will but the girls get very lost with a bad rickshaw. gary/will waste the u-turn on rob/kelly (who where the team who u-turned them). caitlin/britany are way off course though finding the egg detour very lost and get back into a rickshaw (appartently they ended up also at the pitstop at some point as well during this time). caitlin/britany are very lost with their rickshaw leading to a close race against the guys and the girls are eliminated.
