16 new players arrive in nicaragua who will be joined by two returning players they are split into two tribes.

zapatera steve, ralph, julie, david, mike, sarita, stephenie and krista
they are being delivered by helicopter and don’t realise that they will be playing agiainst boston rob and russell. the first confession is from phillip who is a formder federal agent we find out matt is very religious and ralph is a redneck. the new players don’t know they will be joined by rob and russell yet. franchesca is excited while mike is an ex marine corp. they are told when they get on the beach about them as they get out of a helicopter. stephenie says she will stare down russell and hopes she is his pick for an alliance. going into this season they have played 78 days each going into this season. franchesca says they are sizing them up and are trouble makers. rob joins ometepe and russell joins zapatera. at least some welcome russell but it won’t last. there is a big twist that when you are voted out you won’t go home you will go to redemption island where you will live alone and you need to look after yourself the next person will join later and they will duel winner stays losers out. russell is excited about redemption island. franchesca couldn’t process redemption island. russell is greatful to be back and is looking forward to it he wants to lead the tribe he tells his tribe he has changed but it is clear early that he is lying and david knows he is lying and doesn’t trust him. ralph can’t wait to get started and takes leadership on the camp building he bonds with mike. russell forms an alliance with stpehenie pretty quickly. on omotepe rob takes the leadership in setting up the camp and the tribe are quite happy with him and some are blind to his threat status especially natalie. franchesca is trying to be careful at this point after he r earlire comments. phillip tells the woman that he is a former federal agent (he is quite annoying). kristina is already looking for a clue to the idol which has rob succspicious but she doesn’t find a clue yet. rob tells phillip he is worried about the girls allingging. phillip approaches kristina about an alliance against rob but its quite early. stephenie and russell align she is a superfan and doesn’t want to go against him. david and sarita are really worried about russell and they tell mike as well to take out them. on omotepe kristina is worried about rob as he is already got the tirbe on his side. she looks for an idol without a clue and finds it on day 3 before the first challenge at this stage a record. phillip and kristina argue about the numbers as they only have franchesca yet but phillip is quite annoying. the first challenge of the season is moving four things on a track and than releasing steps and than a block puzzle first tribe to solve it win immunity and flint. it is quite physical the start zapatera get an early lead as the girls slow down omtepe a bit. zapatera keep leadding as omtepe exhausted as they are lapped. ralph does well on the rope as omtepe still have more to do. but the puzzle is tricky giving omtepe hope as matt does the ropes. zapatera have a good lead on the puzzle but robs history gives them hope. its between david and rob leading their tribes but russell starts calling the shots as well. zapatera win the challenge sending omtepe to tribal. going to tribal ashley is upset about letting rob down. kristina tells franchesca about the hidden immunity idol without a clue the plan is to vote out rob (first choice) or natalie (franchescas choice). rob is worried about the idol and wants to split the vote between franchescsa and kristina 3-3 in case of an idol (guys voting for franchesca woman for kristina). kristina shows phillip the idol which has her nervous. phillip says it is in his interest to get rid of rob. rob says everyones pitching in at camp phillip says he didn’t assume the leadership role but grant says he will call people out on it. franchesca says they need to keep the tribe strong and get rid of a woman. kristina is worried about the situation rob says the guys don’t have a free pass especially him. franchesca says redemption island is complicated and says rob is safe which phillip ousts the plan to vote out rob which both girls deny with franchesca calling phillip crazy. phillip even outs the immunity idol from kristina she owns up to the idol. the majority where supprised and kristina and franchesca are shocked at this. phillip is clearly unstable despite dennying it. after a crazy scene where rob asks kristina for the idol she declines. in the end kristina holds on to the idol and is spared as franchesca is sent to redemption island 4-3-2 (phillip got two votes from franchesca and kristina kristina got the other girls votes and franchesca got the guys votes)
next time someone shakes hands with the other tribe someone beats russell at his own game and phillip is still crazy.
