8 teams depart bali for hanoi vietnam on one of two flights dave/connor decide to pull out of the race at this point due to daves injury they end up only telling pam/winnie and max/katie due to the flights. the clue also indicates a u-turn ahead and pam/winnie want to break up the alliance which max/katie agree. the lead flight lands at 6pm. pam/winnie are confident they can finally win a leg. connor jokes about the u-turn. joey/meaghen are worried about the situation with the u-turn. mona/beth are worried as well due to the allinace. bates/anthony admit rightly they have a taret as well as a threat. the first flight leaves the other teams go via kuala lumper arriving 930pm (the first flight was via singapore). the first stop is a gallery which doesn’t open till the morning as it closed at 6pm and won’t open till 9am. the lead teams go to a hotel and bond max starts making fun of jessica even before finding out they are eliminated. pam/winnie lie about dave/connors self elminaiton. teams rudly make fun of jessica/john which annoys joey/meaghen which is understandable as it went a bit far. daves emotional as they arrive at the pitstop to be elmiinated. meanwhile most of the other teams align against joey/meaghen and mona/beth (bad straetgy to keep the strong teams around especially bates/anthony but also pam/winnie). the next clue is a roadblock which is watching a bizzare patrotic preformance after memorising it they must find the quote on a poster. meaghen, katie, chuck (who has done all roadblocks so far that they chose), beth, jennifer, . the music is about vietnams communist party and socialism and is quite confusing. most teams get the wrong poster the first time. pam/winnie finish 1st (pam did the task) and are sent to a place to do a vietnamese bamboo dance. all the other teams have to rewatch the preformance as meaghen and beth work together. chuck and jennifer (i think) get it next than katie. meaghen finds it but can’t get one for beth in time the hockey dudes are also stuck at the task but get it the third chance. pam/winnie do well at the dance getting the detour clue “make your move’ set a chinese chess game and match em to the human part and place em in the right spot “make your meal” make vietnams national dish by getting a lot of ingredients and than cook it. pam/winnie choose the chess as other teamds fail at the dance esepcailly chuck/wynona while caroline/jennifere are lost. max/katie pick the food jowt/meaghen now in 3rd choose chess. chuck/wynona are losing a lot of time at the dance. mona/beth choose chess chuck/wynona pick the meal caroline/jennifer pick the chess. pam/winnie are quick at getting a gusess but are wrong at the chess but figure out there mistake. bates/anthony choose chess as pam/winnie finish sending them to a b-52 wreckage and where the u-turn is. max/katie are doing well at the food task but didn’t get the peppers or the basil. chuck misses getting the chicken hurting them time wise. pam/winnie get to the u-turn first and u-turn joey/meaghen which is a blind double u-turn securing them 1st place. chuck isn’t listening to wynona or doing well himself finding directinos. bates/anthony are 2nd to finish the detour making up a lot of time just ahead of joey/meaghen and max/katie (first to finish the food). pam/winnie win the leg and a trip to whister canada. joey/meaghen aren’t happy to be u-turned so they u-turn chuck/wynona (as a random pick). mona/beth finish the detour in 4th and caroline/jennifer next. the pitstop was the national musuem of history. joey/meaghen make up time in fact lap chuck/wynona on the detour as they get them very quickly. bates/anthony lose two spots finding the pitstop. joey/meaghen are stunned to be see chuck/wynona at the detour as there communication breaks down. joey/meaghen have a few errors not as bad as the other team and fix it quickly so they have done both detours before the other u-turned team has done one. chuck/wynona aren’t happy when they find out they are u-turned but are spared because of dave/connor pulling out.
