7 teams depart hanoi for maun botswana by plane but to get into a travel agency need to figure out that its botswana and sign up for charter flights once there to a national park. pam/winnie think it would be stupid to take it out personally the u-turn max/katie think its smart to check ahead where to go. mona/beth are excited that there are 3 all girl teams left. caroline/jennifer stupidly think the best final 3 is them against bates/anthony and max/katie. the first flight is 1045am so they are all equal. max/katie give the answer to caroline/jennifer but all the teams are on the same flight. chuck gusses so many wrong countries kenya, australia, germany, bangledesh, paraguay (all wrong). the u-turn ends up being the conversation of discussion. in botswana the first charter flight is caroline/jennifer and bates/anthony at 9am. max/katie and joey/meaghen are 915am. the other teams are 930am (which has chuck/wynona worried). joey is a bit scared about being in a small plane max/katie aren’t happy to be on the plane with them. the first flight lands and the next clue sends them down a road to search for their next clue which is the roadblock of searching for a scorpion diging to get their clue. caroline takes the roadblock as does bates. joey and max do the roadblock. bates takes the lead after the task they than take their bushman for a drive down a road as the next clue. wynona has to do it to even the roadblocks. mona/beth are suddenly ahead of the 2nd flight teams can’t tell who did it same with pam/winnie. the detour is “fire” requires teams to start fire with two sticks and manure “fowl” requires teams to set a trap to catch an animal. bates/anthony choose fire as does caroline/jennifer. bates/anthony are quite good at fire max/katie and mona/beth both pick fire. as the last two teams are still doing the scorpion task but the girls are ahead of chuck/wynona but not by much. bates/anthony are first to the pitstop which is a nearby safari camp. all the other teams can’t do the fire easily (including joey/meaghen). bates/anthonys prize is a trip to phuket thailand. the fire task is almost impossible for everyone else. pam/winnie choose fowl (good move) as does chuck/wynona. all the other teams eventually switch detours due to the fire task difficulty. max/katie are last to switch putting them behind. pam/winnie are 2nd to finish the detour. navigating is quite tricky to find the fowl detour. chuck/wynona are 3rd which is amazing for them (having should have been eliminated 3 legs in a row before). joey/meaghen are 4th to get the pitstop clue just ahead of caroline/jennifer. mona/beth are 6th to get the pitstop clue but are lost a bit but still beat max/katie to the pitstop but its a non-elim leg so (they will need to complete a speed bump next leg)
