9 teams depart oxford for the shetland islands by train and boat. the first stop is the life boat institute to find a puffin. kym/alli consider the other teams boring for not partying. scott is injured badly early on. the next clue sends them to scullaway castle most teams find it well. the castle is quite scary with keith/whitney first to the detour of “pony up” requires teams to cut 50 blocks of peet using a spade and using a shetland pony must deliver them to a little house. “light my fire” requires teams to build a torch with a lot of steps. keith/whitney choose light my fire. most teams choose pony up as tim/te jay are quite lost. misti/jim are confident at the pony up detour. there are only 6 stations at light my fire michael/scott do that due to their injury as does kym/alli. adam/bethany do the peet as are amy/maya (who are having trouble). brooke/robbie switch to light my fire. the number of steps at light my fire is very tricky and keith/whitney fail the first one. misti/jim are way ahead at the deotour while most teams are finding it tricky doing it perfectly. shelly/nici are doing the peet task. kym/alli are doing well at the detour though ahead of keith/whitney. some teams are having trouble though. shelly/nici can’t control there pony nor can misti/jim or adam/bethany (or anoyne for that matter). misti/jim are first to get sent to berry farm in scalaway. shelly/nici are somehow 2nd outt of the detour. brooke/robbie only just finish the first one. adam/bethaeny are 3rd out of the detour amy/maya are 4th (all the peet teams ahead). teams finish the steps though eventually with the order mixed with brooke/robbie behind. tim/te jay are 5th out of the detour despite being last to get the clue. the next task is coralling a flock of sheep into a pen. misti/jim are still in the lead as more teams finish the other detour quite behind. michael/scott are 6th keith/whitney and kym/alli are just behind them. as shelly/nici and adam/bethany start on the sheep task which is tricky to control. misti/jim get it 1st sending them to the pitstop is st ninians island from a cyrptic clue and they win the leg and a trip to dubai. more teams start on the sheep and shelly/nici figure out a strategy. amy/maya are 2nd out of the sheep task than adam/bethany. keith/whitney don’t have trouble with the sheep making up time while scotts injury hurts them time wise. adam/bethany pass amy/maya on the way to the pitstop. the guy teams are struggling with the sheep. amy/maya find a church (wrong place). michael/scott overcome injury to finish the task 8th but get lost finding the pitstop giving the other guys a chance and use it to send michael/scott home.
