ABC: At the school, teams would choose an instructor, who would teach them how to pronounce each letter of the Lao alphabet. They would then enter a classroom and had to pass an exam. If they could correctly recite the sound of each letter, teams would receive their next clue.Becca & Floyd , Corinne & Eliza, Rupert & Laura, Tyler & KoreyBBQ: At the market, teams would have to help prepare some of Laos’ famous Lao BBQ Skewers. Teams had to purchase 3 prepared ducks and 8 fish, and then properly filet, gut and skewer them. navigating laos is quite hard on foot to the detour. the animosity over the u-turn between team fun and rachel/elissa is high. the laos language task is not easy though but corine/eliza figure it out 1st (ahead of everyone) going to an elephant place. nicole/victor do well as well at the deotur. chris/bret and rupert/laura are racing for last. leo/jamal take the lead going into the roadblock of
Once at this village, teams found a Roadblock inside of an intricately-designed clue box. Who likes to be in command? The chosen team member had to get on the back of an elephant and ride it out of the village and across the river. They would be given a satchel with a tapestry on the side, upon which were written Lao vocal commands that could be used to control the elephant. On the opposite side of the river, teams had to enter the jungle and listen for the sound of music. Once they found a group of Hmong musicians playing instruments, they would be given their next clue and could ride back to the village.Becca, Chris, Christie, Corinne, Britney, Jamal, Nicole, Elissa, Rupert, Tyler
it is not too hard if you know the commands. the order is shuffled again going into the roadblock. the pitstop is wat xieng thung where leo/jamal win the leg and 2500 dollars each rupert/laura struggle and are eliminated.
