“Ash catches a pokemon”
in the viridian forrest ash tries to catch the caterpie and succeeds on the first attempt ash is estatic and very happy which annoys misty (who is scared of bug type pokemon which caterpie is). ash is very happy and pikachu is quite happy misty tries to hide which upsets caterpie who seems to like misty. misty reveals she hates carrots and peppers as well (the opposite of ash) ash says misty is hurting caterpies feelings. ash tries to get away from misty but doesn’t get far as she wants her bike back or the quickest way out of the forrest. they spend the night in the forest with ash and misty still arguing a lot. meanwhile caterpie reveals its dream is to evolve into butterfree (its final stage). the next morning caterpie is sleeping next to misty which annoys her a lot and does more attacking of caterpie who goes into its pokeball upset when they spot a pidgeotto flying overhead (the evolved form of pidgey) ash tries to catch it but without weaking it won’t work so ash uses caterpie a complete mismatch as a bug type is weak against flying types after a battle that doesn’t last long caterpie is returned and ash uses pikachu to beat and catch pidgeotto with a thundershock attack so ash now has 3 pokemon. after another argument between ash and misty team rocket appear to try and steal pikachu after saying their motto. ash doesn’t give them pikachu and koffing attacks with sludge to blind pikachu. so ash uses pidgeotto but two against one is too hard for it and eventually loses so ash has to use caterpie. caterpie though uses a string shot tackle combo to stun everyone by beating team rocket which even impresses misty but when misty goes to congratulate caterpie it evolves into metapod in record time which makes ash think it will evolve again soon. misty sees a beedril so she and ash head deeper into the forest.
next time ash battles a samurai who creates problems for ash.
