an aeroflot flight from moscow to hongkong is operated by an airbus 310 (one of the first western planes to fly in russia). a pilot is taking his kids on holiday to hongkong captain kadrinski (although he is fo for the start of the flight) and the two kids are excited the kids are being looked after by another aeroflot pilot during the flight. there are 75 people on board tonights flight. the plane was one of the first western aircraft flown by aeroflot and only the best where ttrained to fly the a310. the flight is under the command of captain danluof the relief captain is kadrinski and the fo is parskarev. about half way over siberia kadrinski is now incommand after a change over. the kids than decide to visit their dad in the cockpit which is not unusual in 1994 but what is unusual is he lets the kids first the daugther than the son use the controls because of the autopilot the daughters time is uneventful but the son has a harder time with the controls and notices the plane turns by itself which concerns the pilots and the plane starts banking on its own to the left which is originally corrected by the autopilot but than while th eson is still at the controls the plane starts to bank to the right which leads to confusion as the instruments indicate a holding pattern as the plane banks hard and is starting to lose control. the people are forced into their seats as the plane banks hard and the autopilot tries to keep the plane aloft but they are now climbing and the fos efforts aren’t helping so the son has to try and recover the plane as his dad can’t get into his seat (and he isn’t 18). the forces are making it hard to move and the captain can’t get into the cockpit. now the autopilot is off which makes it harder as the plane is on the verge of stalling and the plane enters a nose dive of 40000 feet a minute this at least lets the pilots at the controls but the fo stalls the plane which makes things worse not better and uses the engines to try and fix it but doesn’t work. kadrinski (the dad and pilot) is back at the controls and they fight hard to save the plane and nearly level it out but its too late the plane hits a mountain killing everyone on board instantly. the russian investigation is confused at some of the limited evidence including the bodies of the pilots kids in the cockpit. the fact that the kids get most of the blame not the pilots is beyond me or the plane itself (which lacked warnings in certain situations). the investigation is astounded at what happened.
next time will strike three take out a pilot who has been hijacked twice before will his third be his last.
