ash and friends arrive in hophop town where ash is mistaken for a child named arnold by a confused woman who is mising her son arnold after talking to officer jenny we find that the town has a missing children problem and the pokemon center has a problem with exhausted pokemon that are low on energy and a psyduck has a constant headache so jenny thinks there is a connection between the two problems she finds a sleep wave using a detector which indicates there are sleep waves around team rocket have a plan to steal the pokemon emiting it officer jenny finds a tall building is where its coming from and find that at the same time the kids went mising that a bunch of old peoples drowze evolved into hypno and is using its sleep waves to help them sleep and drowzee is also using sleep waves. the hypnosis attack makes misty think she is a seel following her makes them find the missing kids who are under the spell still they fix the problem using drowzees attack on misty. at this point team rocket try and steal the hypno but it doesn’t work as usual and the drowzee. they heal the pokemon at the center and fix the kids. brock offers to help nurse joy with the psyduck but it ends up being misty who catches it.
