ash and friends arrive in dark city which is a pretty deserted town even in the middle of the day and the people are scared of pokemon trainers pikachu shocks some kids who where on a roof. a man fixes the fight and takes them to his resturant we find out there is gang war in the town between two possible gyms lead by an electrobuzz and a scyther trainer who want pokemon league recognition team rocket are siding with the kaz gym and threaten the resturant owner as bodyguards brock beats team rocket using vulpix which impresses a yaz gym person who takes ash and friends to the gym. ash and friends use fake identites to avoid getting their names involved in the war. the woman tries to get them to join but the leader attacks with his scyther which makes it known that scyther is infuriated by the color red. ash and friends with the kids decide to try and stop the fighting in the town. both gyms are trying to prove themselves to the inspector for money when they battle ash and friends throw tomato sauce on them this makes the leaders angry and try and attack ash and friends after things calm down but the inspector (a nurse joy) stops it and tells them they won’t be gyms and should listen to ash to figure out how to fix the town. the kids thank pikachu especially and then they leave.
