a bunch of pallet town residents with misty and brock are going to seafoam islands for a holiday but ash isn’t allowed to go which is a bit odd. but ash decides to tag along to help professor oak find out how slowpoke evolves by going to professor westwood. misty and brock join ash to find out. we find out quite a bit about his history of how he made the pokedex and some of his weird tendincies. we get some info about slowpoke which westwood wrote. slowpoke and psyduck get a weird friendship. jessie james and meowth are told to rob westwood by giovanni after they catch a shelder (well jessie does). team rocket do try and rob him with weird lies but don’t succeed and the shelder merges with slowpoke to become slowbro as an evolution and it beats team rocket. after a weird goodbye ash and friends continue their journey.
