a sea plane takes off from miami beach for the bahamas for the worlds oldest airline in 2005 chalks ocean airways operated by a seaplane that was built in the 1940s a gruman millard which climbs out normally but soon after takeoff the wing explodes into flames causing the plane to nosedive into the sea killing everyone onboard. the cause was a massive fatigue crack that had been there and should have been discovered beacuse of chronic fuel leaks in the plane and the airline got away with poor maitence because of there small fleet and the fact that they hadn’t crash before.
