ash is in his 2nd round match using squirtle against a trainers nidorino which ash is able to win putting him into the 3rd round of the pokemon league and is really excited after winning on the rock field gary thinks ash is over excited though and thinks he won’t be cheering later (unless he wants to chear for him). team rocket aren’t happy about going through garbage and come up with a plan to get pikachu. misty and brock realise that ash had gone to get food before healing his pokemon. ash can’t find a resturant yet though and is lost looking through the league village but is impressed about what is going on before misty and brock find him and help ash find a pokemon center but they are all full we find out that ash will be battling on the ice field next. ash finds a resturnat while looking and decides to eat there before finding the pokemon center and finds trainers there eat for free. ash and misty go looiking for brock who has gone looking at the officer jennys and nurse joys who are patrolling the league they find a random pokemon center which has them succpicious as its run by team rocket and when they find out they have to get pikachu back from them which they do pretty easily. and they find a real center to heal the pokemon before ash’s third match which has both trainers down one pokemon pete peblemen is the opponent its kingler vs cloyster which kingler is able to win by constantly hitting it but it loses to petes arcanine which despite a disadvantage wins but ash wins the match with pikachu putting ihm into the 4th round by using speed attacks.
next time ash’s opponent in the 4th round proves to be a suprising match.
