ash is worried about battling ritchie but agrees to a good match with him. team rocket decide to exploit their friendship by deciding to try and use it to get pikachu by ringing misty and talking to her rudly and gets ash to go somewhere with pikachu where they steal it ash is now against the clock to get to the stadium with team rocket constantly intefering and ash’s pokemon exhausted and at the stadium ash is late and is about to lose by forefit despite misty and ritchie trying to get the match to go ahead and luckily ash turns up after a 10 minute delay is almost up. but ash is already knows he is up against it because of team rockets attack earlier and most of his pokemon are tired but squirtle puts a effort in against butterfree but loses but pikachu which is tried knocks out butterfree but loses to charmander so ash only has two options so he goes with the one thats better type wise but not obedience wise charizard who beats charmander but falls asleep against ritchies pikacuh ending the match in a loss for ash.
