ash is demoralised from losing and mistys attempts to cheer him up only make him more angry as he is quite upset but his mum professor oak and brock cheer him up. ash than goes to wish ritchie luck for his match but ritchie loses the match ending his dream of winning the league. ash and ritchie cheer each other up after their loses when team rocket try and steal their pikachu but as usual fail. they than go to the closing ceremonies and agree to meet again at a league as ash goes back to pallet town.
next time a old enermy forces a tough call for ash.
