a state of the art dc-9 is in trouble with engine problems leaving stockholm for cophenhagen after the heating was on during the night the crew have to land on a frozen lake because they can’t glide to the airport no one is killed. the cause of the crash is determined to be the engines surging causing the engines to fail when they try to fix it the captain doesn’t return to flying due to the emotional issues also he left the door open to the cockpit which was unusual even in the 80s when the crash happened.
