ash and friends arrive on an island which is home to a lot of bug type pokemon ash wants to catch a caterpie but misty stops him and she doesn’t want to explore the island due to the bug type pokemon there. they ifnd a wounded scyther which tracy catches and takes it to the pokemon center where they find out about the leadership battle between scyther. a scyther takes some of jessies hair off so they try and get revenge but ash and friends and the scyther stop them. and tracy earns scythers respect and catches it adding it to his team.
