ash and friends are lost in a forrest that is confusing and borrow a hoothoot from a trianer that isn’t good at stopping the illusions (gary has a cameo in this ep as well as does agatha of the elite 4). the hoothoot likes misty who is the only one who has confidence in it and gets scared but helps get ash and friends out of trouble with team rocket.
