ash and friends are in a beautiful spot to have a break in the mountains when they encounter a marreep heard which are attracted to pikachu because of electricity. they meet the trainer of one of them and her mother and they explain how they control and how she (mary) wants to enter a local tornoument (that you can enter if your local so ash can’t enter). team rocket come up with a plan to get the marreep but it fails. ash tells mary about how to care for pokemon. after a storm to power up the marreep and team rocket attack mary is allowed to enter the tornoument.
