a 747 is trying to leave taipei for la when a typhoon is fast appoaching and crashes on takeoff but the weather wasn’t the direct cause of the crash instead it was they took off on the wrong runway due to taking a cautious taxing at slower speed and ignoring the obvious signs that they were on a closed runway about half where killed. it is singapore airlines only fatal crash to date.
