now i will note i am a mad hawthorn supporter but even i have no idea how my team will go this year and against another team in a similar position it is quite a tough game to pick so i wil go with my heart. tip hawthorn

another game that is tough to predict geelong are aging but are hard to beat at home st kilda are trying to break a 24 year drought good luck but the home ground advantage is big having said that saints are a better side and i’ll tip them tip st kilda.

another 50/50 game the suns are off a high with a good win but the crows will probably be more determined but don’t travel well still i don’t think they’ll make that many mistakes. tip adeliade

i keep forgetting the dogs almost made the 8 last year as they were so all over the place but the dees like the pies are not going to want to start the season slow if they can avoid it as their reputation is in tatters from off field issues and back to back straight week exits from the finals i’ll give this to the dees. tip melbourne

perth is a tough road trip which makes it a hard game to pick freo are one of those mid table teams without a real read on but on the day can beat anyone or lose to anyone brisbane are not wanting a 0-2 start but the demoralising loss last week and the road trip makes me tip freo.
