officer jenny is asking the people of viridian city to be on the look out for pokemon theives and spots ash who she is supiciosu of and almost arests him unitl she finds ash’s pokedex which clears him and she takes him to the pokemon center the girl from last time is not far behind but doesn’t catch up to him yet. the theives are seen a balloon commenting on the situatiion and want to steal rare pokemon with their pokemon a talking meowth. pikachu is taken to icu by nurse joy. ash rings his mum discouraged but she tries to cheer him up he than talks to professor oak where ash tirie sto identify the rainbow pokemon but fails oak is discouraged that he has no new pokemon. the girl than turns up when ash explains the situation they agree that ash will pay eventually for the bike (that agreement never eventuates but is part of the story for a bit). pikachu is than taken to the recovery room. when the theives (jessie and james of team rocket) attack with ekans and koffing (both posion types) strangely enough not interested in pikachu though. it is found that pikachu power the cneter and they try and transfer pokeballs to pewter city when they are found by team rocket ash tries to battle them but can’t and mistys (the girl) goldeen is useless on land. but the centers pikachu and ash’s team up to beat them with ash helping powering it up on the damaged bike to do a powerful attack that destroys the pokemon center (luckily) no ones majorly hurt. ash and misty now travelling together are in the viridian forest where ash finds a caterpie (that mistys scared of) and tries to catch it ending the episode.
next time will ash get the caterpie and team rocket now want pikachu.
