ash and friends arrive on navel island for ash’s second gym battle and meets a strong trainer who they think is challenging the gym as well but is acctually the gym leader. the battle starts with a icebeam attack battle which the gym leader wins than a sled building one which ash wins accidentally through charizard. the sled race tie breaker is ruined by team rocket but ash ends up sneaking home giving him his 2nd badge.
