ash is put in a group for the next battles with trainers macey and jackson with macey her first opponent who after saving their pokemon falls in love with him. she specialises in fire types and ash loses kingler due to an accident before the match. thankfully officer jenny gives ash his squirtle for the match despite falling behind ash ends up winning.
