south and carlton beat the cats and lions to make the grand final play off swans won the first but the blues who won the minor premership the right to challenge and win their 4th flag.
interesting season geelong
a early draw with the dons and early loss to tigers would have been unremarkable and apart from a win over the blues weren’t in the running really till the 2nd half of the year their spot wasn’t sealed till a last win over the pies got them 4th but lost to swans in semi.
