only 4 teams richmond, fitzroy carlton and collingwodo played due to the war and after a strong start fitrzoy were last but were a finalist due to only 4 clubs carlton looked good for a 3 peat with the pies 2nd tigers 3rd.
finals summary
well thel ions suddenly become the premiers for the 6th time passing the blues for the most beating them in the grand and final after beating the pies in the semi more on that in the permiers seciton.
interesting season carlton
after a round 1 loss to the lions they were rarely touched till the finals ony losing once to the pies by 1 point they beat the tigers in a semi but lost to the lions twice costing them the flag.
premiers season fitzroy
two wins and a draw to start looked good and then didn’t win till the finals which they only made on a technicality and then won the flag winning 3 finals crazy.their 6th.
