season summary
this was between carlton and richmond with the blues only losing one game but drawing twice in back to back rounds to the lions (they also had their one loss too them) and swans while the tigers looked strong for back to back wuth 12 wins 3 more than the other finalists pies and cats with essendon getting their 3rd wooden spoon out of no where with 3 wins and 2 draws.

a poor start to the season proved costly but they were the only team to beat the blues in the home and away season and not lose to them the draw with the blues was their first none loss in round 4 and had no wins before the round 6 bye and lost to the dees after the bye but a win over the pies in round 10 got them back on track to finish 5th with 6 wins and 2 draws.

tigers and blues easily made grand final with the tigers neednig to win twice which they manage to go back to back their 2nd overall.

aftera round 1 loss to the blues they looked good despite a round 4 loss to the cats 4 wins in a row leading to the bye had them well in the running before anothre loss to the blues and a round 12 loss to the lions before winning 5 straight and all 3 finals to go back to back.
