a better year beating roos first up before 10 straight loses had the hawks in 11th before beating the roos again before winning thier last 3 over dons, cats and lions to finish 10th.
interesting season st kilda
after back to back loses against lions and dons few had them getting to 5th an early scalp of the cats showed they had some potentional but a round 5 loss to the blues and round 7 loss to the pies meant they were playing catch up a round 10 loss to south didn’t help but got within percentage with 3 games to go winniing their next 5 but lost 2 of their last 3 to the blues and pies to just miss out.
finals summary
tigers almost got to the grand again knocking blues out but the swans and pies ended up being the grand finalists with the pies winning flag 10 over the swans despite losing the semi to them by 20 points.
premiers collingwood
an early draw with the lions in round 2 might have raised red flags but always looked like fighting south for the flag they lost to the blues in round 9 got smashed by swans in ruond 12 and a shock draw with the dees in round 16 lost the semi to south but beat tigers and south for the flag.
