beat roos in round 2 cats in round 3 drew with lions in round 4 and blues in round 5 for their best run yet getting to 4th for the first time a round 7 win over the dogs kept them in touch but 7 striaght loses before beating the lions in round 15 ended their hopes dropping to 10th with that their only win after round 7.
finals summary
saints had their last finals win for 26 years ni the semi against the tigers while the pies made the grand for the 5th straight year against the dees with the dees winning their third flag.
interesting season st kilda
their only good year of the 30s and their last finals appearence till the 60s lost to dees in round 3 dons in round 5 getting to 1st with 8 straight wins before a slump losing to dees pies and dons before winning their last 2 and the semi but lost to pies in prelim.

a round 1 loss to the tigers was a good omen beat swans by over 100 their run ended against the blues in round 9 and dons in round 13 beat the pies twice in finals to win their 3rd flag.
