yuki takes zaori to the pokemon research lab and are supprised to see liko meating them who explains that she was asked to keep an eye on her for her journey by an animous person. when professor oak greets zaori and gives her a pokeball saying this is a specially allocated starter she opens the pokeball and finds a chikorita which she is told was a uniquely strong one that cannot evolve as it swallowed an ever stone appartently the two instantly bond. yuki says she will travel with zaori and liko due to wanting to help but not wanting to be a trainer herself. they are told to head to viridian city.
