they team up against the evil boss with abel who has the same pokemon but admits he is not interested in going for the league yet the battle isn’t hard and mewtwo is saved with roy and dots help who came to save liko. she then shows everyone her pokemon form as does abel who reveals they had an older sibling with the samea powers who is still missing. they arrive in viridian city for the contest and to heal.
