lilash begins her battle against agnus in the round of 16 with pikachu beating fearow and golduck but his eevee is much tougher and evolves into umbreon but pikachu still beats him just giving her a spot in the quarter finals which will be against a girl named melonie. the morning before that match she trains her eevee into evolving but its not an umbreon its an espeon which ash explains that eevees friendship evolution depends on the time of day the battle against melonie is next time.
