1 – is the qantas domestic terminal used by qantas and qantas link has two piers gates 1-12 which is the main qantas domestic pier for their capital city services like sydney brisbane adeliade perth while gates 21-30 is more qantas link with their dash 8 services to tasmania mildura and regional nsw and sa.
2 – is the international terminal handles all overseas airlines plus qantas international (see the destination section for the list but no longer will have a380 flights. virgin australias international flights use this terminal for nadi nz and bali flights and all over seas airlines with gates 9 11 16 18 and 20 can handle a380s which emirates singapore airlines (maybe) and sometimes qantas use on their routes. the only domestic flights are tag alongs like qatars adeliade-melbourne-doha service (might have been replaced by canberra as the starting point).
3 – is the virgin terminal now only gates 1-10 as the rest are now in terminal 4 is the virgin domestic terminal so youll only get virgin 737s at these gates.
4 – is gates 11-52 (count starts from terminal 3) is a low cost terminal although virgin use a few gates at least they ussed to 11-14 was in terminal 3 until the mid 2010s. rex use gate 30 for their regional operations while gates 40 and up are jetstars gates moved from terminal 1 a while ago.
hotels – there is the parkroyal opposite the terminals highly recomended but expensive above the car park. there is also a holiday inn (haven’t stayed at for yeras so can’t comment on).
lounges – qantas have lounges in termainals 1 and 2. virgin have one in terminal 3 rex in terminal 4. the international terminal terminal 2 has a qantas, emirates, singapore airlines and air new zelland and cathay. currently used to have a united club (and they closed it when they started flying non-stop to la which is weird) and a etihad lounge has closed.
