this is one of two gospels for this sunday so i chose the main choice it is about keeping hte word of god will get the love of god and if you don’t keep your words you don’t love jesus and that the peace of the lord is only his to give and about his death it is an improtant message about respecting the lords commands and how importnat it is to believe and follow his message.
Yesterday I had lunch at the a25 pizzeria on little colins st and it was very good we got there just after it opened for the day quick and friendly service loved the gf base garlic and cheese faccasia pizza which is what I had and the staff were very friendly definately recommended 9/10
Yesterday I went to the footy at the mcg to the twilight game while the result wasn’t what I wanted as a life time hawks supporter losing by 33 points but the experience was quite interesting the crowd was mostly friendly with a few fans who got too excited and shouted at every decision had good seats. The pre game was interesitng as it was indigenous round and they had a ceremony as well as the hawks song in an indigenous language (not Brisbane’s weirdly enough) they had a pre game interview with my favourite underrated retired hawks forward mark willams which was interesting (he retired in 2011 not to be confused with the ex port premiership coach of the same name). Didn’t stay till the end due to the scoreline not hard to get to the train is quite convinent. I enjoyed it mostly would have been better if the hawks won 7/10
Yesterday I went to the best pop culture shop in Melbourne minotaur which specialises in a lot of anime and manga content (no anime DVDs any more unfortunately) has a great collection even two Floors it has specialised sections for the most popular franchises even putting my favourite two pokemon and yu gi oh next to each other. It is a great shop highly recommended 9.5/10
Footy was a disaster with the hawks losing to lions. Pies smash roos, freo smashed port and giants beat blues. In the nrl roosters beat sharks and knights beat panthers. The coalition need to avoid going down the Trump path to be a long term government prospect. Yesterday I flew from albury to melbourne on Qantas link the flight was early we boarded before 110 in groups left at 130 was at Melbourne at 210 our eta was 235 with end of 140 seat was 8a which was good windows seat no snack that I could have but it was less then an hour in the air overall mostly good flight 8/10

The afl needs to start planning its 20th club as well now the suns might have finally earned their existence (clear word might) and stop bullying tasmania with the stadium as well or fund a lot more of it themselves.
Bad sporting day for bulldogs supporters losing in afl to Geelong and nrl to the dolphins. The libs cant commit to necelar to get the coalition back together and i also think its a bad move on debenture powers as it means they don’t stand for traditional liberal values. a better year beating roos first up before 10 straight loses had the hawks in 11th before beating the roos again before winning thier last 3 over dons, cats and lions to finish 10th.

after back to back loses against lions and dons few had them getting to 5th an early scalp of the cats showed they had some potentional but a round 5 loss to the blues and round 7 loss to the pies meant they were playing catch up a round 10 loss to south didn’t help but got within percentage with 3 games to go winniing their next 5 but lost 2 of their last 3 to the blues and pies to just miss out.

tigers almost got to the grand again knocking blues out but the swans and pies ended up being the grand finalists with the pies winning flag 10 over the swans despite losing the semi to them by 20 points.

an early draw with the lions in round 2 might have raised red flags but always looked like fighting south for the flag they lost to the blues in round 9 got smashed by swans in ruond 12 and a shock draw with the dees in round 16 lost the semi to south but beat tigers and south for the flag.

richmond geelong and south were the dominant teams again with the pies the other finalist a game and a half ahead of the blues north returned to an expansion team wooden spoon after essendon broke the run of the new teams getting it the year before going winless.

their 3rd flag came from 2nd an interestnig year drawing the grand final rematch early on but were always up there 14 and a half home and away wins and two finals over the blues got them there.
the finals system changed for that year to 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 semis a prelim between the loser of 1 v 2 and winner of 3 of 4 winner plays the other semi winner.

all eyes were on if the pies could break the all time record and do a 4 peat with 15 wins got them 1st ahead of the blues on percentage way ahead of the tigers and cats the other finalists by 4 games dees just missed out on percentage again with late loses as was the dons by a game. north recorded their 3rd wooden spoon.

a round 1 win over the saints (first time they won in round 1) had a little bit of hope but hten returned to mediocrity close loses to the pies and blues didn’t hurt but poor loss to the dons and tigers a 1 point loss to the dogs showed the hawks aren’t fully easy beats but a big loss to south who were winless before that before finally breaking through to stun the cats (first win against an eventual finalist and grand finalist) beating the roos in round 10 got them safety from last other wins over the dogs in round 13 and won the last 2 over the roos and a big shock win knocking the dees out of the 4 despite finishing 10th above the other expansion teams dogs and roos.

4 weeks to go they were likely to be a threat to the pies (who started their slump by beating the dees in round 15) while they beat the blues the next week they were up there until the hawks stunned them at the end dropping them to 5th.

when the pies beat perenial oppoent the tigers a 4 peat looked like a formality but the blues got stunned by the cats than the cats forced the pies to a grand final in the prelim but the pies got the job done wininng 4 in a row the only afl team to do so and their 9th overall.

only lost 4 games the last before the prelim in round 10 to the blues before that round 4 to the cats and round 5 supprisingly to the lions but looked vulnerable after losing the prelim but still got the job done.

this was one of the most dominant sesaons ever with the pies having the only home and away undefeated season ever their 20 game wininng streak is the 2nd most ever (beaten by the cats in the 50s only) equaled twice the other finalists are the blues (15 wins), tigers (12 and a half) and saints (12 wins) with the dees just missing out by half a game. north got the wooden spoon
hawthorn season
a long winless run ended in round 7 against south after losing to the cats they beat the lions and roos to get a bit of breaving space off the bottom a late win over the dogs secured 10th (their only win in the last 8 games) finishing above the lions for the first time and the roos.

the blues knocked the saints out while the pies had their run ended in the semi by thet tigers who also knocked the blues out in another upset meaning for the fifth time in a decade its pies v tigers with the pies being the 2nd team after the blues to do a 3 peat their 8th overall by 29 points.

were inconsistant loses to south in round 2 and cats in round 3 had them in trouble a 2 point loss to the dees in round 6 had them in trouble and pies loss in round 8 had them way back when the blues beat them in round 9 they were 4-5 then only lost one m ore home and away game in round 11 to richmond a 7 game winning streak normally wouldn’t be enough but the dees late slump saved them but the blues beat them in the semi.

they dominated the whole season going the home and away undefeated something no one has done since amazingly a gf rematch/preview in round 1 wasn’t enoguh to have them in the 4 the whole season they had one loss to the tigers in the semi for the whole year winning the flag over said team their 9th.

the same 4 dominated but in a different order the pies cats dees and dons were the 4 with the roos going winless (one draw against the hawks) with the new sides the bottom 3. south finished 5th on percentage from the dons.

a early win over the roos gave a little hope theyd get out of the bottom 2 in round 7 had their biggest scalp yet fitzroy their only win against an established side this time one more win over the dogs in round 16 and a draw with the roos in round 13 saw them finish 11th.

early loses to tigers and saints and blues had their season looking doubtful when they lost to the pies in round 6 and dees in round 7 were 2-5 and looking done but then won 10 out of 11 to just miss finals 1 goal loss to the pies in round 17 after 9 wins in a row broke their chances.

despite being long odds the dons stun the cats and just falling short of the dees who beat the pies in the other semi meaning the dees would play the pies in the grand with the dees winning their 2nd flag.

after an unlucky 25 they fell to the blues in round 2 pies in round 4 geelong in round 10 a week after a 141 point win over the hawks. and pies again in round 15 they dominated the finals for their 2nd flag from 3rd.

this was a five team battle with the lions missing out on the 4 despite north winning their first game over the cats in round 1 the new teams didn’t start well finishing bottom 3 with the hawks getting the wooden spoon the blues were worse of the old teams finishing 9th only above north on percentage the 4 were geelong (cats), collingwood essendon and an improved melbourne not in that order.

every year i will give you a round up of the hawks year while they didn’t look good early losing their first 4 supprisingly coming closest to beating the pies in round 3 level at 3/4 time and losing by 17 in round 5 they had their first win over the dogs their first win over an established side was in round 13 over the saints by 3 points one more win over the roos the other new team got the hawks last with 3 wins.

early signs were all over the place stunning the blues in round 2 after losing to the dons in round 1 wins over pies and tigers had them looking threatening for once but loses to the dees (last team to do so) and the cats had worries after a 6 goal loss to the lions and the bye had their season in doubt than stunning wins over swans and dons had their season back alive beating the blues as well after a loss to the pies and beating the tigers they were in the 4 beating the dees in round 14 had them 3rd but fail to win again and finish 6th.

lions knock cats out but the swans stun the dons but the lions beat the swans but its the dons who get redemption to win their 5th flag over the lions.

started dominant winning 4 straight before losing to the lions their only loss before the roiund 9 bye. a shock loss to the saints getting 1 goal 12 embarrased them a loss to the lions again in round 14 had some worried before the grand final despite not losing a game till the semi to the swans but earned the grand final spot against the lions wining their 5th flag.

while finals never looked unlikely a flag was not likely most of the year in the first half of the year their non wins were against the other finals taking to ronud 11 to win against the blues to break that run their other loss was to the tigers in round 15 finishing 3rd but haivng a flawless finals campaign was enough to get them their 7th flag.

this was between carlton and richmond with the blues only losing one game but drawing twice in back to back rounds to the lions (they also had their one loss too them) and swans while the tigers looked strong for back to back wuth 12 wins 3 more than the other finalists pies and cats with essendon getting their 3rd wooden spoon out of no where with 3 wins and 2 draws.
interesting season fitzroy
a poor start to the season proved costly but they were the only team to beat the blues in the home and away season and not lose to them the draw with the blues was their first none loss in round 4 and had no wins before the round 6 bye and lost to the dees after the bye but a win over the pies in round 10 got them back on track to finish 5th with 6 wins and 2 draws.

tigers and blues easily made grand final with the tigers neednig to win twice which they manage to go back to back their 2nd overall.

this is the most dominant swans side ever only losing by 5 points to the saints early on and won 12 straight towards the flag a pretty convicing run.

in a crazy year fitzroy returned to form topping the table with 16 wins only losnig to geelong and st kilda speaking of the later the saints were a suprise 4th with 11 wins behind south (14 and a half) and collingwood (13 wins). geelong were the closest with a game out with essendon and carlton lsumping substationaly to 6th (carlton) and 8th (essendon who only beat winless university after the siren their only win ever after the siren to date).

in a massive shock saints beat swans to earn the right to play the lions twice for the flag they won the first but the rematch was disasterous till the last quarter when 4 goals in a row nearly won the saints their first flag but the lions got the last 2 to win by 13 points.

the first half of the year was another unremarkable year sitting 6-6 before a 5 game winning streak and than gettintg smashed by the cats but it was enough to finish 4th and a shock win over the swans and the lions but failed to win the flag over the lions.

their 5th flag was obvious for most of the year a early loss to st kilda and a rare loss to geelong in round 12 but a win over the pies in the semi guranteed them a chance at the flag and won an early remarkable grand final.

university had their last win over the tigers amazingly the pies were the last team below them when they had a win on the board ever thet pies were the big sliders to 7th being replaced in the fianls by geelong despite a good start the dons finished 3rd behind swans and blues ahead of the cats.

after a 4 game winning streak they hit inconsistency two loss to the saints who weren’t clsoe to the 4 proof in point but a strong finals campaign got them their 4th flag and 2nd in a row.

university become irrelvant only winning 1 game over the saints in round 3 giving them their first of four wooden spoons saints only one other win. essendon after a few close runs topped the ladder ahead of south, carlton and collingwood again the same 4 for the 3rd year running just in a different order.

just a random pick a early loss to the saints and an inconsistent season was theirs drawing with the dees an early win over the pies the reginign premiers and the blues with a lot of inconsistency in fact the dons are the only top 5 side they didn’t beat despite finishing 6th.

with richmond and university joining few had the cats winning the wooden spoon especially beating the pies in round 1 (they only won one more game) the blues dominated and looked like the biggest threat for a 3 peat yet with a resurgent essendon their main opposition finishing 3 games below the blues but 4 games ahead of 3rd place saints and 4th place pies. swans just missed out with university (8 wins) and richmond (6 wins) not embarrasing in their first year.

in their first year they beat the dees to start took till round 5 for win 2 against the cats. 5 straight loses had them wooden spoon favourites despite a 1 game lead over the cats until beating university in round 11 they backed it up against fitzroy in a big upset shock wins over finalists pies and saints later on got them to 9th with 6 wins.

carlton and essendon easily got past the semis meanign the dons are only one of two teams ever to be grand finalists after being wooden spooners (the other collingwood in 1977 who failed to win the flag as well) but the blues got their 3 peat by 9 points.

tihs is out of respect for them finally having a finals berth and a good year would have considered lions and swans as well for obvious reasons. a 6-0 start had people thinking they would acctaully get to the grand only winning one of their next 8 against last place essendon in round 10 and only lead melbourne on percentage at the end of the rregular season but two more wins was enoough to secure 3rd passing th epies but lost to the blues in the semi.

this was by far the worse season yet by a team not st kilda with the dees only winning 1 game the next worse was 4 wins (dees only win round 4 against south by 5 points). until a late slump the blues were the team to beat but the lions still looked dangerous for a 3 peat essendon and collingwood again rounded out the 4 with no chance of a change going into odds and evens.
